Do you want to learn how to be a
Good Greek Cook?
Join the Greek Cooking Challenge!
They say that the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach but that’s not very helpful when you have just married a Greek man and you don’t know how to cook Greek food! It is important that you learn the secrets to cooking traditional Greek Food (quick smart) or you might find that your husband will compare your food to…. his mother’s cooking!
When we got married and started living together for the first time, I had no ideas how to cook. It was horrible and my husband was very disappointed. In 2014 I wrote a blog post about How To Be A Good Greek Cook and I made a New Year’s Resolution to dedicate time to research recipes and practice cooking one new Greek dish each month.
Now, I am proud to say that I am the author of my very own Greek cookbook and I feel confident to be in the kitchen. The Greek Cooking Challenge really helped me to learn more about traditional recipes and now my husband is a happy man.
Join me again this year and take part in the next #GreekCookingChallenge.

You will receive a monthly email about the upcoming dish for the #GreekCookingChallenge.
The first dish will be Vasilopita for the 1st of January – New Years Day Cake but you can start with any of the recipes that we have on the recipe list.
Step 2: Get The Recipe
Each month, I will select a new Greek dish to cook for the #GreekCookingChallenge.
The recipe for the dish will be posted here on the blog and also on Facebook.
Step 3: Cook
Now this is the important part. Our lives can get so busy these days. We have lots of stuff to do so it is really important that you make time to cook!
The only way that you are going to practise your Greek cooking is if you plan ahead for it. Mark a date down in your diary, plan it, shop for it and decide to actually go ahead and cook it. Practise makes perfect and we all have to start somewhere. Let’s start with one dish at a time.
After one year of the #GreekCookingChallenge you will have practised 12 new dishes. That is a great start to becoming a Good Greek Cook!
Step 4: Take a Pic and Share it
Remember to use the hashtag #GreekCookingChallenge.
Step 5: Eat!
Now this is the most fun part… you need to actually eat your food!
Taste it… share it… give some to your husband and your kids or your family and your friends.
If you think it’s good enough, then maybe you can offer some to your in-laws too! 😉
Sounds Like Fun? Well, then what are your waiting for…
